The City of Lincoln Fire Department, in partnership with the local Marine Corps Reservists, has recently launched their annual Toys for Tots campaign-- a program that was started by the marines in 1947 that have been making Christmas wishes come true for needy children.
The need for toys this year is greater than ever so theLincoln Fire Department personnel are asking for people to pitch in by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy at the following Lincoln Fire Department locations:
• Police & Fire Administration at 770 7th Street
• Fire Station #2 at 491 H Street (H & 4th Streets)
• Fire Station #3 at 2525 E. Lincoln Parkway (Twelve Bridges)
A new toy will let a child know that someone out there cares and that Christmas won't ever, ever pass them by.
